You will arrive in Summers somewhat charred but safe. Giygas doesn't want you to come here for some reason, and it's your job to find out what that reason is.

Many of the items in Summers are absurdly expensive. If you don't want to empty your bank account, you can wait until the next town or two, where you can buy cheaper Diamond Bands and a cheaper Big League Bat. Sadly, there are no cheaper Lucky Coins in the game.

Pokey has been here earlier. He's the key to all of this, so you need to catch up with him somehow. Unfortunately you're stuck, and the only way to follow him is by boat.

There are boats in the port town of Toto, but the sailor there won't help you unless you help him with his marital problems. His wife's in the Stoic Club, but you can't get in without calling them first. You need to get their phone number somehow, so try talking to various people around town.

|
While walking around Toto, you will get a call from Tony, Jeff's friend from the boarding school. He'll ask you for your name (you, the player). Luckily you're given a lot of room for long names. Type in your name and continue your adventure.

|
Once you get the Stoic Club's phone number, give them a call. Then head back to Summers and go inside the club. You'll find a bunch of brainiacs staring at a rock on the stage and talking with big words. Talk to the red-suited man, then to the woman in the bottom right corner. She's the captain's wife.

Follow her outside to her Magic Cake stand. Take a bite and Ness will trip out and start dreaming of a far away land to the east.
