SCENE 29 - WHO DESIGNED THESE CAVES, ANYWAY?!

The caves can be very tough to follow and confusing, but the items inside are all the best of the best. Be sure to seek out the three weapons: they're the best in the game. The map can help you find your way, but with so many letters, it's hard to find what goes where sometimes, so plot out your path before going randomly through the caves. Bread crumbs can help you escape if you get in a pinch, but Onyx Hook + Teleport is just as helpful.
While there's only two enemy types in the caves, you'll see their toughness soon enough. Blue Starmen sport PK Beams a and B and can swarm in large groups. Don't be afraid to use some of Ana's more potent PSI, as you can always siphon it back from Cerebrums, who boast high HP and a wide range of PK attacks. However, if Ana can throw a PSI Block on them, they become completely helpless. Use this trick to refill your PP safely.
While foes may be hard at first, as Teddy levels (and equips the Katana), he can take out a Blue Starman on his own. This makes levelling fast and easy, so pick up some levels and PSI here while it's still easy. The level to build to is up to you -- the upcoming foes are so tough that you'll most likely be running from them all anyway.
If you're really having troubles, the fastest route out of here possible is A, G, I, K on the map. Also note that you can sidestep some areas (as in the screenshot) to save some travelling distance, though not all areas can be skipped over using this trick.
