After you have Ana at a decent level, why not explore Reindeer a bit? You buzzed past beforehand in a rush to get your new friend, so some exploration of the town seems necessary. Unfortunately, there isn't much here that's super-important to the plot, but the city lets you kick back from all the fighting you've done and chat with some people.

Lots of the residents chatter about some trouble in the next town: Spookane. There seems to be more otherwordly business occurring there, much as Podunk exhibited early on in the game.

There's a woman in town who is quite reserved. However, if you use Telepathy, you'll find her mind swimming with thoughts of your quest. The dragon, of course, is the sleeping beast in Magicant's Crystal Cavern.

There's a beggar going around the streets. No matter what you give to her, though, she'll only reward you with a Flea Bag. If you really want the pack of insects, trade her something cheap (like the $5 Orange Juices sold at many stores).

If you talk around, you'll find this shady character. If you agree to keep his secret, he'll drop you some free cash! Pocket it and keep hush-hush with the cops.

The shops have nothing special -- save for some handy items for Loid. It's advisable to stock up on some of these babies: the Plasma Beam is especially useful, dishing out 70-80 PK Beam damage per use! You probably have loads of cash at this point, and since you won't be buying much any more, why not trade in your Bottle Rockets and Bombs for some real weaponry?

As before, there are some lame people who think it's cool to share diseases. The colds contracted here may seem annoying, but if you do talk around, you'll hear of a local legend....

Apparently nearby, an old man lives alone, guarding his secret ability to cure colds. This rumor is enough to pique anyone's interest, especially with sickness being so rampant amongst the townspeople. Why not undertake the side quest to find this myth?
