Brrr! What a climate change! The man outside the station foresees futures; while his prediction is true, you've got some business at hand already. There's a short walk from the station to town, but that won't stop foes from appearing.

The enemies here are mean! You may find it best to flee from most bouts, as Silver Wolves can gang up on you easily. Polar Bears can hit hard if you're underlevelled, too, so approach with care! Bigfoots and Lone Wolves shouldn't be too tough for you, however.

If you're having trouble staying alive, try heading back to Duncan's Factory. You can level up there and also stock up on Bombs. The fire from the explosives cause double damage on these wintery enemies, so a single Bomb can simplify a tough Silver Wolf battle rather quickly.

Once you do get to town, you'll find it is fairly small. There's no Hospital and a minute store, and the residents seem to be sick with colds. Avoid talking with people dressed in blue, as they spread the virus easily.

Inside the northwestern house in town is a Healer. Also in his house is a phone. If you pick it up, Ninten's Dad will ask for your name. Put it in, as it triggers something much later in the game.

At the east end of town you'll find a sign leading to the Chateau of Snowman. Many people gossip about it in town, and it is supposedly home to a young girl. To reach the house, however, you must once again brave the elements and the onslaught of enemies.

You'll eventually reach a church-like house. Inside is a single girl and her father. The girl will tell you about your appearance in a dream of hers. Offer her the hat you picked up and she'll tell you more of her recent troubles, as well as her name (Ana).

|
She'll join your group promptly, as destiny calls. Saying goodbye to her father, she'll vow to find her lost mother on your journey. However, she, like Loid is only at level 1, meaning...

...another trip to Magicant is destined. Equip her with the best defensive items you can buy, as her defenses are fairly weak. Also, if you talk with the other Swimming Cat, you can win what's in his hand with Ana by your side. Use Telepathy to earn the Magic Ribbon, upping Ana's magic powers.
|
|
|
Now's the time to level Ana up. She may be weak offensively, but she gains numerous offensive PSI and superb PP at level ups. For progression, she should be at the bare minimum level 8, but it's safest to go to 12-16 if you have the patience.
