This the final Your Sanctuary location, and the most rigorous. It consists of tier upon tier of levels connected by ropes and tunnels. You can use this tunnel system to your advantage, though -- you can duck in and out of entrances until you see a reasonable amount of enemies on screen. It's time consuming, but a good strategy for dealing with the roaming flames in this area. Keep in mind that enemies here are also weak against PSI Freeze.

Another item of interest in this dungeon is the Major Psychic Psycho enemy. This baddie packs a whallop, but when you defeat him you have a 1/128 chance of getting a Star Pendant. This item protects you from Fire, Freeze, Flash and Paralysis, so it is definitely a worthwhile item. Try your luck and see what happens.

To reach the top, follow this route. When you enter, head right and enter the second cave that you see. Walk through this next area and exit, then climb the rope above you. Enter the first cave there, pass through, and climb up yet again. Enter the cave right above you, and here pass up the first cave exit, instead head for the second one. Once you exit, climb the rope above you, then climb yet again, and you'll be at the Shining Spot.

This boss can be pretty troublesome if you're not careful. Carbon Dog packs brutal fire attacks, but he's very weak to Flash and Freeze. Use Jeff's Heavy Bazooka too, but do NOT use Multi Bottle Rockets! Once you've finished Carbon Dog, he'll transform into Diamond Dog. Diamond Dog has a power shield, and if you finished Carbon Dog with a physical attack, it will be reflected back at the attacker, which is why MBRs are a really bad idea.

Diamond Dog has LOTS of HP and no real weaknesses. His bite can Diamondize you, and his lethal "glorious light" attack is equivalent to PSI Flash Ω and will likely paralyze or kill anyone without a Night or Sea Pendant. Diamond Dog starts with a Power shield, so use the Neutralizer to get rid of it before unleashing whatever Multi Bottle Rockets you have. Keep at it, and eventually you'll topple him.

After defeating Diamond Dog but before going into the sanctuary, you'll want to shuffle your items a bit. Be sure Ness has the Sea Pendant and Franklin Badge. DO NOT EQUIP THE CASEY BAT!
Clear his inventory out of any other items and then give him a few good healing items, like Magic Truffles and Brain Food Lunches. Bags of Dragonite are good, too. When you're ready, go into the sanctuary.

Ness' Sound Stone will record the final melody of Fire Spring and then play the completed tune. You'll then be transported to a gray flashback sequence where Ness finds himself looking at his own infancy. This was when Ness first realized his psychic abilities. After the sequence is done, Ness will be transported to a strange new world -- the colorful realm of Magicant, which exists only inside his mind.
